On July 2011, PVI Reinsurance Corporation – a wholly owned subsidiary of PVI Holdings, under Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, was established with the mission of becoming a professional and international-branded reinsurer.  After only 8 months since the operation, PVIRe has become the first reinsurer in Vietnam who is rated by A.M.Best – an international credit rating organization, reflecting the readiness to integrate into the global insurance market of PVIRe.

On October 2013, the increase of company’s chartered capital to VND 668 billion through equitization marked a big milestone in PVIRe’s business, changing the company’s structure into Joint-stock Corporation which contributed to the growth in retention and reinsurance capacity of the company.

From the establishment, PVIRe has always strived to achieve revenue and profit growth, ensuring business performance of the following year always exceeds that of the previous year. Additionally, we have constantly received positive feedbacks from customers and partners in terms of services and added values brought to them in doing business with PVIRe. We also have long lasting relationships with numerous leading reinsurers, insurers and brokers not only in Vietnam but also in worldwide, who play an important role in warranting PVIRe’s underwriting capacity.
